I love this place. Sushi is second to none, staff is wonderful. It's set in a strip mall and I think suffers from the location. People speed by and don't know it's there. I hope more people go and see what they are missing. Huge bar, and great drinks. It's a little more open than most places, and seems empty due to its size. I like it as I don't like to be packed in like a lemming. If you like sushi, you must give them a try. The ice cream dessert is insanely good, so even if you had dinner, have dessert! Go ahead I dare you!

Sushi was fresh! Bottom line. Awesome decor. Friendly wait staff. Big, open, airy and clean.

I did a quick search on yelp for sushi places and eliminated all the three star places, then right away saw O Sushi which had 4.5 stars. We were quickly greeted at the door and seated right away. Our server came over to the table, brought us two waters and took our drink order. Then we ordered, both of us had the three roll lunch special which is a great deal for $11.95 because on average it's about $5-6 bucks per roll. We also ordered the sesame crusted tuna which was excellent! We will definitely be returning here.

Needs to be discovered. . . If you're tired of the same old same old at Seven Moons, or the service issues with Kon, then you should give this place a try. Located where the Fish Market used to be, in an otherwise non-descript strip mall, O Sushi has a nice, modern space. We were there a little before 6 pm on a Saturday evening and there were very few other people there, which led to us being seated right away. We opted for a table instead of the sushi bar. The hostess was friendly and we were greeted by our server quickly. Drinks were brought soon after we ordered them, and we placed our order - crab rangoon, nime chow, a spider roll, shrimp fried rice for my wife, and the chirashi sushi dish for me. A choice of salad or soup came with my entree, and I opted for the miso. All the food was brought out at a nice pace, not so quickly that we hadn't finished the previous course, nor so slow that we were left twiddling our thumbs, and was very good. The rangoons were different than the standard triangle foldover kind you find everywhere else, more of small spring rolls. The sushi was fresh and tasty and my wife really enjoyed her fried rice and nime chow (I had these leftover the next day for lunch as well). Overall, the price was reasonable and we were happy with our experience there. We really hope that business picks up for them (but not too much so we'd have to wait to get in) as we love having the option to go someplace other than the previously mentioned restaurants. Maybe they should do a Groupon or something to get the word out. . .

Don't be fooled thinking it's just another sushi spot In a plaza. This sushi speaks for itself! It's all good, from the seafood miso soup ,the fried oysters and selection of rolls. We had the hot babe and sweetheart. Good drinks and service . All around excellent! Will make this a regular spot from now on.

Great sushi! There weren't very many people in the restaurant, but it was lunch time so that is to be expected. Service was great and fast. We had one of the special rolls, some veggie rolls, salads and edamame. The yelp reviews don't like - it was great and reasonably priced.

Yet again, O'Sushi has exceeded my expectations. This is the among the best seaweed salad and sashimi is excellent. Reasonably priced menu and great service.

I've been here a few times now. The food and service have been consistently very good. I have no problems deciding if to visit here again. It's always a no brainer. Do it. The food is always fresh and hot and the staff are very attentive and the prices are very reasonable.

I know I say this about every sushi restaurant I review, but I kid you not when I say that O Sushi is the best I've had in Rhode Island. I came here because it was close to home and it was garnered a 5-star review. They weren't kidding. Now, oddly enough, when I go at 6:30 on a Sat it is completely dead. Yes, I find it weird, but I also realized they do a ton of takeout orders. Despite the lack of customers, the wait staff is super pleasant. The crab Rangoons are different in that they use egg roll wraps. This makes them crispy and try include a nice dipping sauce that seals the deal. The scorpion bowls are exceptional, except for one time when we went and it was a different bartender. A female I believe. Hers wasn't bad, if just wasn't the same. The sushi is phenomenal. We always get a couple of special rolls, my favorite being the o sushi roll and the hot babe. The ambiance of this place is very warm. Don't let the (now) empty dining room fool you, this place is worth it. Even better, it provides a very intimate experience for you and your date. I hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot for this review and I won't get a seat. Lol. Enjoy!

I've been using yelp for years and finally tired of watching idiots post reviews - jack that's you- you obviously are a friend of Seven moon or if not you should ask them for a paycheck -this place is awesome ! Me and my girlfriend used to go to seven moon until this place opened - since then we have been coming here almost every week for over a year - the sushi is so fresh and all the rolls are great !! I welcome anyone to take the o sushi challenge - u can't honestly tell me that you don't think this is the best sushi around- if so you should go to the doctors and get your taste buds checked - the place is awesome!!!! Bartender waitstaff and owners are all so helpful and friendly!!! Once you are done eating try a saki bomb - u can't go wrong !! Overall one of my favorite restaurants in Rhode Island and a must try for anyone who has never been here !!!

So good! Last minute we needed to get take out and they were ready with our food in 15 min. Inside the restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. Will definitely go back! The sushi was delicious!!!

I stopped in at O Sushi recently with my mom and sons for lunch. Although there were only a few other parties in the restaurant, service was slow but courteous. That does it for the negatives. I really liked the lunch menu. They have a signature lunch which is your choice of a main dish, rice and choice of soup and salad or spring roll for $8. My sons loved the miso soup, rice and chicken fingers. I tried the chicken fingers and they were awesome. I felt good about getting them a 'kids meal' that was healthier and tasty. I had a couple rolls with soup and salad. The rolls were great. Even my mom who is more a meat and potatoes fan and decidedly not a fan of Japanese food enjoyed the chicken tempura she ordered. I will definitely be back with my husband to try more sushi the next time we're in the area.

O Sushi is great; long menu, many options, mixed fare inspired by various countries. It seems to include Thai and Japanese, but also some Americanized dishes, which is great for someone like me who orders a standard garlic noodle! There's options for children, too. The dining room is very pretty, and nicely decorated. Many restaurants have come and gone from this location, but I sincerely hope this one stays! A couple of the negatives here are that the servers are not too attentive, the television over the bar can be quite annoying if you are seated close to it, and the woman who runs the franchise is quite strict, and you can spot her almost constantly correcting and disciplining her employees, which can be a bit disconcerting. Overall, really great food, impressive chefs, great for English speakers, and very nice location. Four stars!

We went there for the time and to my surprise it was wonderful, I needed to find a new place to have Asian food now that Seven Moons sucks!!! We sat at the bar and the service was excellent and the food delicious, it's a hidden jewel!! For those who use to like Seven Moon dump that place and check out O Sushi!!

Came here with my friend's family and we ordered a mix of sushi/apps/hibachi/noodles. I personally work at a restaurant just like this one which is located in central Mass., so I am familiar with the style of food. I also looked on Yelp and got the impression that this place was worth eating at more than once. Their hot&sour soup was very good; cooked fresh compared to the hot&sour soup made at chain Chinese restaurants. Their crab rangoons were also very tasty; I was taken aback by the shape (they were shaped like spring rolls) but the creamy taste did not cease to impress me. The reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because their vegetable pad thai was soggy. When I saw it I immediately knew it wasn't quality. I was picking around the dish, eating mostly the vegetables; the noodles seemed to be drenched in liquid. I really did not want to take the rest home with me, but out of respect for my friend's family (who was paying for my meal) I sucked it up and got it packed up. Other than that, I would definitely recommend coming here for its variety of dishes.

My fiancé and I just moved to north Kingstown and were looking for a new sushi place, and we definitely found our new favorite! We had the crab rangoons, the house roll, and the hot babe roll. All were so delicious! Of course we washed it all down with a scorpion bowl which was also made perfectly. Our waitress Morgan was super nice and took great care of us. Can't wait to go back!

Very good Sushi & friendly service. I may end up becoming a regular here. Lunch specials are a great deal.

This place lends credence to my wife's suspicion: every restaurateur has 40 friends, family, and employees who can front-load Yelp with empty 5 star reviews. When we opened the exterior door and stepped into the building, we could smell fish. There's nothing edgy or trendy about exposed strip mall ceilings. Where was everybody? 5 Stars in yelp and a near empty dining room Friday 7 pm?? This place is a cold, dark echo chamber. I won't blame management for the 3 yr old with whooping cough contaminating the next table over. Shu Mai was straight out of the freezer section at Aldi. Sushi was room temperature. Tuna roll was a rice roll with a ribbon of incubating fish in it. Spicy chicken dish had the BJ's Wholesale club crinkle cut frozen mixed vegetables which we bought 3 years ago and finally tossed out of our freezer when we defrosted last fall. Our server was a beautiful young woman who had a wonderful attitude. She'd be fantastic if someone had only told her that the Miso soup comes out before the entrée. I'll take the B- sushi at Seven Moons up the road, thank you. No room for substandard Asian in this area, there are plenty of options. Bye Bye.

For many years I have been a Seven Moons fan, but I have been converted!! The apps, sushi & meals were top notch!! This restaurant shouldn't be a secret!! Everyone should know!!

From the ambiance to the wait service to the great food - this place has it all. Last minute choice when dropping my son off at URI. Depended on yelp to find something nearby - and yelp provided a great spot with great reviews. We will be back for sure!

My rating is based on several take out experiences. Very fresh sushi, creative rolls and outstanding price to quantity/quality ratio. Highly recommend over seven moons which is a few blocks away. Right there with Kon (which is fabulous as well) in regards to sushi and sushi rolls.

Freshest spicy tuna roll I've had in RI. Consistently delicious food; I'm never disappointed when I visit O Sushi. I prefer their sushi to any other's in NK.

Good solid food and some of the better Japanese I have had in New England. Service is always good. Food is always good. Atmosphere feels like you are in a nice restaurant in Vegas or NY not southern RI.

So, I've only been to Sushi O once, when they first opened, and just for lunch. The service was superb, the sushi was delicious and fresh - not a thing to complain about except they didn't have gluten free soy sauce (these days most places do). The place was completely empty except for us, but it had been open only a couple of weeks by that point, and we were made to feel very welcome. The sushi was as fresh and delicious as could be. As good or better than Seven Moons. I do plan to try them for dinner soon, and will report back, and hope to be able to issue five stars next time! The owner said she was getting some gluten free soy sauce, so we'll see! :-)

We were surprised to find this place in North Kingstown. It's the best sushi we've found in Rhode Island without having to go into Providence. We've been for lunch, not dinner, and it was very quiet and peaceful with good service. The decor is trendy and sophisticated. Aside from sushi they offer a variety of Japanese and other Asian dishes including chicken, beef, and vegetarian options, so sushi lovers and those who don't like it so much can easily dine together. They have children's-sized portions of rice with a selection of meats and veggies, which is a refreshing change from the chicken fingers and hot dogs offered to kids at most restaurants. We would only bring a child during slow off-hours, though, not during the regular dinner or evening service.

Really good sushi, the spicy rolls are excellent! The restaurant is nicely done with a large bar and friendly service. We brought our 3 year old with us and the waitress was so attentive, she gave our child a water with a lid (without us even asking) and kid-friendly chop sticks to use. The Asian Mojito was the only thing I didn't love about our meal, it was creative, but not as sweet as I usually like a mojito.

It was our first time in and we will definitely return. I had the Lunch Box salmon teriyaki and everything was superb. My friend had Spicy Crab Roll and loved them too. You can't beat the price and the service was excellent.

Hot wasabi! We stopped here for a late light dinner after a day of driving. The crab Rangoon was a delight - crispy outside and creamy within. The California rolls were heavy on the avocado - greatly enhanced by the spicy sliced ginger on the side. Husband had the Udon noodles. They were fresh and had just the right amount of peanut flavor. Coupled with a reasonably priced wine list it was an enjoyable dinner.

As a partner in a Chinese and Sushi restaurant in Wakefield, their Sushi is excellent and the presentation was great also. If your in North Kingstown it's a must try! Just don't leave Wakefield to come here.

This was the best sushi I've ever had!! The Boston roll was amazing!! We will definitely take the trip and go here again!! The spicy crap and cucumber sushi app was out of this world!! Our entrees were excellent!! Beautiful, relaxing, yet fun atmosphere! You definitely have to try this place, especially if your a sushi fan!

The fish is the freshest in South County and owner is one of two outstanding sushi chefs. On two occasions, we asked for a sample plate and were blown away by the selection and quality of the nigiri. The seaweed salad and O Sushi roll were excellent. This local small business is one that I am so happy to support.

My boyfriend and I have been about a dozen times since they've opened (which they've only been open about a month so that shows a lot ). Every sushi roll is amazing - we haven't had one that we haven't liked. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the pad Thai but that might be a personal preference. This is way better than the other sushi restaurant in nk that I used to absolutely love. I completely recommend this restaurant :) the bartender is great and makes the meal even more enjoyable.

Loved it! Really good sushi, fried rice and miso soup. We had the snow white roll and the hot babe roll which were different and delicious, but even the plain old California roll was great. Great service from Ted the bartender. Beer was ice cold. Really great ambiance (music was a little weird) and was super clean. Highly recommend it!

My brother in law & I went here for the first time tonight! It was AMAZING. Tammy at the bar was wonderful. Nime Chow wasn't as great as other places but everything else was great. The crab rangoons are outstanding. Best I've had. I had the Golden Buddha (no fish). He had Volcano Roll, Eel & Sea Urchin. All fantastic!

Tried this place for the first time tonight. I was very impressed. The nime chow was excellent, the spicy tuna and hot babe rolls were very good and the staff and bar tender were very friendly. We will be back to work our way through the menu.

Our neighbor told us about this place about 6 weeks ago and we've been back 4 more times!! Place is great, food is fresh and the service if fab. The crab rangoons are not what you'd find at other asian places. Nime chow is YUM. We've also had the sushi, chicken stir fry, general chicken...all DELISH. I highly recommend this establishment.

We just moved here from Atlanta, and were hoping to find a good sushi place amidst the sea of pizzerias and family restaurants. We were thrilled to find O, which features creative takes on some of our longtime sushi favorites. O is family run, and the owners treat each guest as if they were also part of the family. The sushi is excellent and diverse. The menu features something for every taste (even for those who refuse to eat anything raw). As close as O is to our house, we are sure to become regulars.

By far, the BEST, most fresh and creatively presented sushi in South County. A new gem that needs to be discovered by discerning sushi lovers!!

Word needs to get out on this place. We had a very good dining experience at O Sushi tonight. We started with the crab rangoon, unique spring roll type of presentation. It was out of this world, better than any of us have had anywhere else. My husband ordered sweet heart sushi and spicy cooked tuna roll and reports that it was top notch. The kids enjoyed watching the sushi being made. Ideally, the bar in the center of the building would be great for sushi prep, more visible. The kids ordered chicken teriyaki which came with a beautiful presentation of chicken, carrots, broccoli, onions and white rice. I chose the hibachi chicken that was perfectly cooked and served with a fried rice and vegi ensemble of onions, carrots, broccoli, zucchini and mushrooms. All of the food plentiful and delicious. Interesting selection of dessert and 3 of us went with the hazelnut gelato, which I would call a semifreddo, I think. Very good. Our bill total before tip $124 which included 3 sodas and 2 beers and a Bailey's. In my opinion, a good value for the quality and quantity of food. Hope that they can succeed here and that as word spreads business will increase. Definitely a nice change from Seven Moons.
